Bioinformatician and Data Engineer
I spend most of my time developing software and data solutions for problems in the field of genomics.
Presently, I work at Stanford University as a bioinformatics engineer. My primary commitment is to the
GREGoR Consortium , a collection of research centers across the US
working to develop new datasets and methods to solve rare diseases.
Previously I was a data research scientist with Benson Hill, and a graduate student in the King Lab at the University of Missouri.
There I worked at the intersection of computational biology and population genetics to build tools for genomic inference.
Before that I studied Molecular Biology at Stetson University where I did research in molecular genetics.
Professionally, my interests include workflow construction, variant calling, data processing, code design, and high throughput computing.
